I can’t believe I am such a terrible spender. I got my stimulus check today, a whopping $600(!) from the government. And just as quickly as I got it, it’s gone. I paid off some of my credit cards, and then spent the rest on maternity clothes, a pair of shoes, and groceries for the week. All I really wanted to do was pay off my credit cards, put a little into my savings (I got some marriage money and put half that away already), and then buy me and the hubby year passes to the Wild Animal Park, so we have a family outing to do when the baby is born. That would’ve been fun. And now it’s gone. Well, two thirds of it has gone bye-bye. The rest is going into a humble little nest egg. My only way of justifying it is by saying it’s stuff I needed because my regular clothes hurt and I have to eat. I wouldn’t have been able to get these without the extra money. Wow. The government’s plan worked and I fell into the trap so easily.

Don’t feel bad for buying maternity clothes!!! You need what you need. Just lucky that it came at the right time.

PS: As long as you put some in your nest egg, you thwarted the govt. They wanted you to spend it all…

I can’t wait to see you in your cute maternity clothes. You got to make room for that little neice or nephew of mine! Ps. I’m counting down the days until the ultrasound! Don’t forget about me, I wanna come!
